Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the Calderstone Pennant website and your enrolment in our financial education programmes. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Last revised: 1 January 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Calderstone Pennant website (calderst) or by enrolling in any of our programmes, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or enrol in our programmes.

2. Nature of Our Services

Calderstone Pennant provides financial education programmes designed to help participants develop knowledge and understanding of personal finance, investment concepts, and long-term planning. Our programmes are conducted by educators and facilitators.

Our services are delivered through structured study sessions, printed and digital materials, group discussions, and optional facilitator sessions as specified per programme.

3. Educational Content — Not Financial Advice

Important: All content provided by Calderstone Pennant — including programme materials, session content, written guides, and facilitator communications — is intended for educational purposes only. Nothing constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice.

Participants should not make financial decisions based solely on educational content provided in our programmes. We strongly recommend consulting a licensed financial planner, adviser, or other qualified professional before making any financial decisions.

Calderstone Pennant does not hold a Capital Markets Services Licence or any other advisory licence under Malaysian law, and does not provide regulated financial advice.

4. Enrolment

Enrolment in a programme is subject to available places and acceptance by Calderstone Pennant. We reserve the right to decline an enrolment at our discretion.

  • Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment (or agreed instalment where applicable) and a written confirmation from Calderstone Pennant
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to enrol independently
  • Enrolment is personal and non-transferable without prior written consent
  • We reserve the right to modify programme schedules, delivery formats, or facilitators, and will notify participants with reasonable notice

5. Fees and Payment

Programme fees are as stated at the time of enrolment. All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

  • Payment methods accepted will be communicated at the time of enrolment
  • Full payment is required before the programme commencement date unless an instalment plan has been agreed in writing
  • Fees are subject to change for future intakes; any fee change will not affect confirmed enrolments
  • Any bank charges or transaction fees applicable to your payment method are your responsibility

6. Cancellation and Refunds

6.1 Cancellation by Participant

  • Cancellation more than 14 calendar days before programme commencement: full refund of fees paid
  • Cancellation 7 to 14 calendar days before commencement: 50% refund of fees paid
  • Cancellation fewer than 7 calendar days before commencement, or after commencement: no refund, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The date of receipt of your written notice determines which refund tier applies.

6.2 Cancellation by Calderstone Pennant

If we are required to cancel a programme intake, enrolled participants will receive a full refund of fees paid. We will endeavour to give as much advance notice as possible and, where feasible, offer transfer to an alternative intake.

7. Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to engage respectfully with facilitators and fellow participants at all times. We reserve the right to remove a participant from a programme without refund if their conduct is found to be disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to others.

  • Recording of live sessions is not permitted without prior written consent
  • Sharing of programme materials with non-enrolled third parties is not permitted
  • Participants are responsible for their own attendance and engagement

8. Programme Materials and Intellectual Property

All programme materials — including workbooks, digital resources, session recordings (where provided), and written guides — are the intellectual property of Calderstone Pennant and are protected by applicable copyright law.

Upon enrolment and payment, participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the materials for their own private study. This licence does not permit reproduction, redistribution, commercial use, or sharing with third parties.

Access to digital materials may be time-limited as specified per programme.

9. Website Use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the website in any way that may cause damage, disruption, or impair its availability
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its underlying systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape, index, or harvest content without our written permission
  • Transmit any unsolicited commercial communications or malicious code

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website at any time without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Calderstone Pennant shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from:

  • Your use of, or reliance on, educational content provided in our programmes
  • Financial decisions made following participation in our programmes
  • Interruption to programme delivery due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
  • Technical failures affecting website or digital material access

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you for the relevant programme.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Calderstone Pennant, its directors, staff, and facilitators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of programme materials or the website.

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us in the first instance so that we may attempt to resolve the matter amicably.

13. Amendments to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the website or ongoing programme participation after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
